Question for teachers - has the curriculum for Reception been made harder

Sorry if this question comes across as a bit daft.

I'm just very aware of the curriculum having been pushed forward a year (or back). Basically made harder for my 8 year old.

But has the curriculum changed for Reception too? I can't find anything on the National Curriculum or on our school's website curriculum page.

Thank you.

Yes, but in 2014 - for example they used to have to know numbers to 10, now it's 20.

Reception is early years foundation stage not national curriculum which is why you won't find it there.

Is there somewhere that I can see what they have to learn in eyfs now?

I've looked up the eyfs framework but there's no indication there.

early years outcomes

Check out the early learning goals at the end of each section.

It hasn't changed (yet)

Children have to achieve the early learning goals by the end of reception.

I think that the new national curriculum is different rather than necessarily harder. Dd did reception in 2013/14. The foundation stage curriculum had a greater emphasis on phonics than what ds did in 2006. The maths was also more challenging. However there is still plenty of play.
