I thought 3:05 was early (PITA to get back from work) - but I have just found out that another local primary and teh middle school which DTDs will go to finish at 2pm on a Friday. This surprised me as I thought all schools were 3-3:30ish 5 days a week.

4.45pm Nursery

3.20pm Pre-Prep (infants)

3.40pm (juniors)

4.00pm seniors

(free after school care until 5.15pm)

They will often finish at 12.00 on special days like the end of term or founders day.

Like others have said - meant to be 3.30 but often 3.40 or later by the time they get out.

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 05/12/2006 14:50

Less school traffic problems

yellowvan · 05/12/2006 14:50

Think we're earliest:

2:35 for p1-3,
3:30 for p4-7

12:25 for everyone on Friday

Wallace · 05/12/2006 15:15

I mean 12:45 on fridays

stleger · 05/12/2006 15:35

It is 2.30 in Ireland, plus they are there for 8 years. (And 1.30 for the first two years!)

suedonim · 05/12/2006 15:36

1.30pm

tissy · 05/12/2006 15:53

3 pm (P1 and 2). I think the rest are 3.15

tissy · 05/12/2006 15:56

but they start at 9 am....that's only 6 hours in school; are some of your kids really getting 7 or more hours

HappyMellowmas · 05/12/2006 15:59

P1-3: 2.50pm - Friday 12.10pm

P3-7: 3.10pm - Friday 12.20pm

janinlondon · 05/12/2006 16:27

3:30. They start at 8:45. But they only get six hours of actual tuition in that time which gives them 30 hours a week. I think the legal minimum is about 20 hours (at KS2)?

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 16:34

3.00 for reception here.

moljam · 05/12/2006 16:35

busybusymum · 05/12/2006 16:39

Infants 3
Primary 3.10
Senior 3.50

serenitynightholynight · 05/12/2006 16:39

8.45 'til 3.25 usually.

TinsellyRhino · 05/12/2006 16:45

2.45 here for dd1

it does change but not sure what to

SueW · 05/12/2006 19:12

DD as mentioned is 8.40-4pm. 1h20m for lunch plus breaktime. Two months off in summer, 3.5 weeks at Easter and Christmas and 3x1-week half terms.

southeastastra · 05/12/2006 19:20

my 5 year old finishes at 3, it annoys me because finding part time work is quite hard, most jobs are 10 until 3 so i have to do alot of negotiating. a nearby school finishes at 1 on friday.
