I'm a workbook fan, have a maths one for my 8yo ds but he is struggling a bit with comprehension passages (as in a passage with questions to follow). Anyone know where I can download/buy workbook of these?

Have been having similar thoughts ... and found this free sample from Bond (it's a pdf file by the way). (I've linked to the one from the book for age 7-8.)

There are samples of each stage on the site, plus papers to do a sort of general check on what's been covered. I keep meaning to get the pack itself.

You can get those in WHSmiths and Waterstones as well as online.
