Gift for the TA who cleaned up my kid?

In the past two days, my poorly 4 year old DD has had to be cleaned up by a TA after having a wee in her knickers yesterday then vomiting on herself today. None of this could be helped, she's poorly but thinking that the school have gone beyond the call of duty. Would a tin of nice biscuits be appropriate as a thank you gift on Monday morning or does that look silly?

It's a lovely thought and I'm sure it will be gratefully received. But, if she's poorly why was she in school on these two days? Was she taken ill after arrival?

Poor mite, 4 really is very young to be in school. Sad

Its a nice thought but a thank you would do.

She wasn't taken ill until this afternoon, poor little love. She's fast asleep now, sleeping it off. She loves school so far, I'm really pleased she's settling in so well and I was to make sure the staff know we appreciate them

Don't feel that you have to buy a gift, it's all part and parcel of the job, but maybe a card, or just taking the TA to one side and saying how much you appreciate the compassion they showed your DD.

I've cleaned kids up and have parents say this and it sticks.

Go with the biscuits......she will be thrilled!!!

Drop a note in for the HT too.

I'd get DD to draw a picture for her and maybe make a thank you card out of it if you feel the need to do something. I'm a TA, bodily fluids are all just part and parcel of the job!
