Faraday School, Trinity Buoy Wharf

Do any parents here have their DC at this school? We liked the school on Open Day, but are a little concerned that there appears to have been a lot of staff turnover. We are looking for an academic school, but one that isn't too much of a hot house. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. Are there any further views on this, or on alternatives?

If she goes it won't be until September this year; but It's looking like she will.

It does still depend a little on if we get an offer from our local 'outstanding' (religious) state school. Then we'll be in two minds because it's literally on our road and would make drop offs, pick ups and after school care easy. But we don't go to church and didn't have our daughter baptised (our local primary gives priority to that) so part of me thinks deep down were't exactly overly keen on her going there.

Faraday run a bus, it's not far away from us and after visiting for another open day and seeing the kids, staff etc. and speaking with a parent who already had their child there and was planning to send another, it seems like a good school, and they were awarded ISI's 'excellent' during the recent inspection.

The atmosphere seemed calm; I got a strong sense that the parents would be the kind who wold help hold the school to account and were very 'involved' in their child's wellbeing.

I don't think any parents sending children there will be disappointed! Just my impression anyway.
