We originally applied to primary school and didn't get first choice as out of catchment. We then moved (legitimately - LEA were happy with this, did all checks etc) to another property we own and were offered a place from waiting list. Now we are in the position where moving back to the first property would be much better for personal reasons - again legitimate but would out me if have details here. Question is, can we do this without having DCs place jeopardised? Are LEA open to extenuating circumstances here? Does it make a difference that school is voluntary? really appreciate any advice

Thank you. Just considering all options really. If we do decide to move back, do we let school know or LEA directly? Does it make any difference that school is voluntary and are aware of the extenuating circumstances?

Can you tell us your legitimate reasons?
