My DS has lovely handwriting, with perfect letter formation. He is getting hugely stressed about presenting everything,he is ripping homework up.if he has awonky letter for example. This is because the school seems a bit ocd about it.I say to him that content is more important. Do I speak to the ht ,as it seems to be aschool issue or the teacher .Thanks.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Start with the teacher. Always. It might be solved by something as simple as her having a quick chat with him to say a wonky letter is OK sometimes. Or it might be that he's listening to comments aimed at other children whose writing isn't properly formed and applying them to himself.

Why would you go straight to the ht?! Always speak to class teacher first. How old is your ds? Does he have perfectionist tenancies in other things?

Definitely not an issue for the HT!!! Content is important but so is presentation so it sounds like your DS needs to find a balance. Perhaps you can mention it at parents evening?

My DS does have slight perfectionist tendencies. The reason I would go straight to the head is because my other dc have got stressed about the same issue àt the same school.I thought he could bring the issue up at a staff meeting Presentation is important to appoint .aIfeel constant criticism willnot be a good thing.
