Garden House Kindergarten

Just wondering whether to go for GH kindergarten interviews for next year or to keep DD in a more local nursery, where she is due to start 2 mornings a week in January. I only want her to go to nursery to play/socialise and would like to delay any prolonged periods in an institution for as long as possible. Also the local nursery is very easy going and you can attend/go on holiday as much as you want. We go abroad to visit mine and DH's family quite a lot on ad hoc basis and would like to be able to do this until proper school starts. Having said that GH is our first choice for school, so if she got in then the big school will not be such a shock.

Does anyone know what GH kindergarten am/pm hours are? Do you have to go 5 days a week or (provided you have paid for the term) can you still skip if the child is too tired etc? Also are you still able to go abroad in term time within reason or is this frowned upon?

DD was premature so not physically as robust as some kids and so my biggest worry is that she would not cope with 5 days of nursery next year as nice as the nursery may be...

Thanks for your help!

If GH is your first choice for the school - then you should definitely try. Private nurseries in Central London are not strict on attendance. Provided that you pay for the whole term - how often you actually show up is up to you. Same is true for the holidays.

Don't know their schedule.
