best fountain pen

can anyone suggest a good fountain pen for a first time user. right handed child, not to pricy and not scratchy. tia

Lamy Safari is a good one. Also Pelikan Pelikano or Griffix for a younger child.

Seconding the Lamy Safari. DS1 is still using his in Y11.

I just took a look at the lamy, I think dd would love the pink one
