I have given up with school shoes for DS as they wear out really quickly - both soles and at the front. School are quite happy for kids to wear trainers so I'm looking for brands that are really strong. DS is very heavy on shoes, walks 3 miles on the school/nursery run, plus plays a lot of football.

So which brands don't wear holes in the soles or split at the front? We've tried Clarks, and they were no better than the Brantano cheapies (but three times the price!). Who else to try? They can't walking boot type because of the football Smile

Geox went on and on for us, but they are pricier than Clarks.

I've not heard of Geox, I'll take a look. Thank you.

My son has some black Lonsdale trainers from sports direct £15 I didn't think they would last but going on 4 months (before we broke up for hols) and he plays football everyday but a much shorter walk here

Converse. My ds10 has ADHD & runs for 16 hours a day! Converse are thr only sports shoes to literally not fall apart.

I but my ds the Adidas LK6, he has the black for school and the white for home. They last for ages.
