Muswell Hill Primary School Admission for entry in Sept 2016 - Help Group

Hello,

I am a mommy for a 3,5 year-old-boy, living in Muswell Hill for the last 4 years. I will be applying in a few days for a school place, but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with this all.

We live 150m from our local primary school though entry is not guaranteed as the school is oversubscribed. We did not get a place for a nursery with the same school.

I am a bit wirried we may not get a reception place either.

Is there anyone from Muswell Hill here in a similar situation?

Crouch End is not too far from where we live, however we are not within the catchemtn for Crouch End schools

I think there was some talk of expanding Muswell Hill Primary if not next year then the year after. If you look at the latest school place planning report on the Haringey website they aren't predicting a big shortage of reception places next year so not sure the planned expansions in the area will go ahead.

I have just had a look on their website and it look as though there may be a bulge class for 2016 entry...
