Schools in Calderdale- Hebden bridge or saville park

Just wondering if anyone has experience of the primary schools around Hebden bridge & Mytholmroyd particularly for August-born children? Id be most grateful for any recommendations, Comments or experience. Also considering the Gleddings in Saville park if anyone has any experience of that one too. Thanks in advance!

I was also considering thegleddings as we are shortly moving to the area. However it seems they register children from birth and it's unlikely to get a place later on

thanks Cal. I had wondered if this might be the case. DS is still very young tho so we might still stand a chance. But I had hoped we would have a bit more time to decide. Not sure how I would decide about schools now tho. It's hard to imagine him being 4 years old and which school will suit him best. They change so much at this age too.

Are you moving to the area? As far as I'm aware the more popular schools tend to be oversubscribed so it's worth factoring that in if you're set on a particular primary. My kid is summer-born and hasn't experienced any issues but I don't know what your particular concern is in that regard.. it's not Calderdale policy to let summer-born children start part-time as far as I know but it would be worth finding out about it, if that's an issue. Also I expect you know it's a grammar area too (two grammar schools) so you get all the fun of the 11+ too if you want to go down that route later.....
