Can anyone recommend me an skirt that has an elasticated waist.

Dd is a bit crap with buttons she can manage a zip on a pinafore hence we have two but I'd like a skirt that has an elasticated waist so she can pull it up and down and not faff about with a zip.

It has to be grey too.

and not those jersey skirts as they go shaggy or bubbly from reviews I've read.

I get ours from M&S, they have adjustable waists, so unless you are on the largest fitting they are elasticated. Also John Lewis do elasticated waist skirts (and also adjustable trousers so no buttons there either)

How old is she? I buy m & s but largest I have needed is 7-8 . the waist is adjustable too.

I've never rayed m&s for uniform tbh as I've had to return everything I've bought from there or found the sizing/cut really odd. but I have sone underwear for her being delivered there tomorrow so I will have a look and see if one fits the bill.

She's 4.5 btw

I am not a massive fan of their kids clothes, but I do rate the uniform

Our skirts, pinnies and polos survived all the way to be handed down.

DD is in M&S for 4 years now, the only issue I have are their tights.

She wears skirts since Y3 regularly and all of the styles she has have elastic waists at the back, with adjustable elastics inside as well. The front is pleated or has a fake buckle etc.

I found that uniform is true to size while the normal kids clothes aren't. She is 134cm and wears 9-10 in uniform but 10-11 or 10-12 in normal clothes.

Sainsburys do a 2 pack of elasticated waist skirts. They are jersey but have washed brilliantly & require minimal ironing so I have got DD another pack for next year. She also had a skirt from ASDA with an elasticated waist but it was a nightmare to iron.
If your reception class is like our school & most of the others I know, they have a very regular pattern to lessons especially ones like PE so we quickly got into a Mon/Weds/Fri need zip pinafore or skirt and Tues & Thurs could be button pinafore day as they didn't change on those days.

I got a skirt from asda that would have been perfect for dd2 but they have been out of stock and I threw the old ones out.

Dc's uniform all comes from Sainsbury's. I've been able to size up so it lasts 2 years pretty much too. No bobbling and washing and wearing well. Ds had some trousers from a friend, which I'm passing back to her second ds. So they've done 2 dc so far and still look good.

I got Sainsbury's skirts last year that have lasted well enough to do this year too. They were in a 2 pack and were 'standard' pinafore/skirt type material and adjustable waist. I really rate their uniform, particularly over m&s. Asda's uniform is really good too, which surprised me! Their cardis are the best I've found by far.

I haven't looked at skirts in sainsbury. I have the pinafores from.there I will definitely take a look at the skirts. zips are a bit more fiddly on skirts so just need something she can take on and off easily

I'm a huge fan of the Next Skater style skirt.
It's quite expensive tho but does wash well. So comfy and DD always tucks her shirt in too because it's so easy to do.
