School trousers that pull down without a fly

Anyone know where to get school trousers with an elasticated waist bigger sizes?

My ds is good at getting himself dressed but is still anxious about taking himself to the toilets and sometimes panics and gets very stressed if he has a problem with his clothes, so want to make things as easy as possible when he starts off until he gets his confidence.

Does anywhere do these? I've seen some in Tesco etc that have a mock fly and elasticated waistband, but this stops once you get to the upper sizes and as he is tall he'll need 6-7.

I think Asda do these up to age 7/8 or maybe bigger.

All my school trousers have been M&S. They have big range of sizes.

But - you just missed 20% off day only a few days ago.

I think matalan does them , or used to , my ds has some in aged 12 years and up, but I bought them around a year ago.

Oh I was just looking at asda, it was hard to tell from the description. There isn't one too near me so I might just order some and see, can always return.

If fails I might have to drag ds into m and s, rubbish about the 20 per cent off. On top he seems to be such a difficult shape for trousers.

Feel like this uniform thing is going to hang over my head all summer, just hand to send back polo shirts and think again because the sizing was out and 'too scratchy!'

M&s have this for the smaller sizes as standard so it may depend on age

M&S definitely have this for smaller sizes in some styles - up to age 6. (ie the age 7 have a fly) Would that be big enough?

Do they do dual sizes?

I'm not sure as the t-shirts I sent back were 5-6 so if he's the same in trousers, which I suspect, he'll need 6-7 which is just when they change to proper zips in Tesco.

He does have some with zips at home but he does get stressed out by them and we're always on hand to help, want him to have one less thing to worry about. Will definitely check m&s.

Asda definitely do them in 5-6 ( on my ironing pile in front of me!) Fairly certain they do them in larger sizes than that as well.

Sainsbury's also do them. £6 for a pack of two iirc.

No the M&S sizes are age 6, age 7 etc. I'd interpret age 6 as equivalent to 6-7 though? I wouldn't judge by the size of the polo shirts necessarily. I always end up needing a couple of sizes larger in polo shirts.

age 6 is normally 5-6 and age 7 would be 6-7 if you look at the size guides

Thanks for replies, got them from Asda in the end, got 5-6 but they do go up to 6-7 as well, so have got those for down the line as he's not far off length wise.

Asda polo shirts were a winner too, really nice and soft.

Still wasn't prepared for seeing a schoolboy looking back at me when he tried them on though - where did my baby go?!

DS is dispraxic and was still pulling down his M&S button and zip elastic waist trousers in the last term of year 6 instead of undoing (and his jeans!)
Hopefully he will start undoing them this coming term at senior school in year 7 but I wont hold my breath as the 11 year old trousers still have elastic in the waist!
