DD's report says she has a D1 in Reading, Writing and Maths. Can anyone help me compare what this means to the usual 1a/b/c 2a/b/c etc please?

Not a clue!
You will need to ask your school what the assessment means as each school now has its own system. But the levels have been disbanded and the new assessments bear no relation to the previous NC levels

I thought that. In all other subjects there is a set of three letters - B, D, S. Beginning, Developing and Secure? She has mainly S's in everything else. I'm thinking the D1 for Maths etc must mean Developing but no idea what the 1 is!

It might simply refer to year 1!
We have XB, W or S , where X is the year group objectives they are working at!
