My DS has just had his SATs results and his Annual report. Can anyone explain to me how the teacher assessment levels on the SATs are measured? Are they a one off assessment by the teacher or are they based on the level that they have achieved throughout the year? He has been assessed as level 4 for reading but his annual report shows a level 5C. Also can they go down levels on their reports? In the spring he was marked as level 5C+ for science but in his end of year report he is now a level 4B+. I've got to post and run but would really appreciate any help with this as it will go round and round in my head until Monday!
