My Ds has done very well. Very proud of him. But his academic profile does seem a bit all over the place. Am I right and should I be concerned or not at all? He is a summer born baby so only just 6. He has got 2c for reading,2b for writing and 1b for maths. Will it even out so maths catches up eventually with his amazing reading skills?

I would be more concerned that the school is using levels to assess against the new curriculum for which they aren't relevant tbh.

Whether his attainment will even out will depend on his natural abilities and the type of help and support he is given at home and school, I would say.

A large proportion of children - and adults - are more comfortable with Literacy than Numeracy.
