DD's school wants to do a dyslexia early screening test?

Just found a letter in DD (age 5, in Reception) school bag saying they want to do a Dyslexia Early Screening Test. Do all kids do this test or have her teachers picked up on something? I cannot ask them until Monday now.

She does write in mirror image sometimes but there was nothing in her school report that they are concerned about reading etc.

It may be a standard thing in your child's school but I'm afraid only the teacher can tell you.

Ok thanks, will just have to wait until Monday to find out what it means then.

Also - I would hope that if they suspected that your daughter has an issue - that they would speak to you first, not sent a letter?
