So my DD in year 3 had a report. Really lovely and happy but a little niggled about getting "mostly achieved" in reading. Yet on the same report it states she has a reading age of 11.0+ and in her sats last year she got a 3. So... Do I leave it as they have sent a letter home saying that it may appear that your child has not progressed bla bla due to the new curriculum. Or do I question it? ConfusedConfused

The letter is exactly the answer - the new curriculum means new increased expectations. This year in particular your DD will have had more to cover as the school will have had to "catch up" the areas she didn't cover in Y1/2 as they weren't in the old curriculum.

Posted same question last week! If you look for my thread( sorry, don't know how to link) I got some great answers.
