Holiday Fines!!!

Hi There!
Has anyone on here receieved a fine from their council and challenged it?
I'm looking for some guidance. My son is in year one and has had 1.5 days unauthorised absence plus our week holiday.

Thanks . Will give it a go. I could probably actually get a GP letter to support it if I really wanted to.

I take Mine out for 4 days every year for holiday. Never been fined. But our HT is lovely. I just write a note saying I am taking unauthorised absence, no special circumstances apply.

I would be happy to pay the fine though.
