boys pe kit

my son is in year 6 at primary school

in the indoor pe lessons the boys are asked to strip to the waist and do their pe lessons in white shorts only. The girls for obvious reasons do their pe with a top

I know boys used to do pe years ago with no top but i thought this had died out.

Its not a problem and my son hasnt complained but i just wondered if it still happens in schools

I think he's a bit old for just shorts - though at least it is less washing , pe teacher is probably a bit old school - one of ours is - he's actually v. nice and i'll be sad when he retires at the end of the year, but does have some dinosaur attitudes to certain things
