Hi, we've been given guidelines of what the children need to revise for eg. Biology (Evolution & inheritance/ Animals & Humans - heart, lungs/ Living things and their habitats)
Physics Strand (Electricity)

Are there any primary resources we could search for online to help with revision ? Help !!!!

You might find
www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/science/
useful

What a shame children cannot relax and have some fun after SATs.

MrsKCastle · 27/05/2015 20:57

Is it a state school? Personally I wouldn't be getting a Y6 pupil to revise for any tests now that SATs are over. Follow the child's interest, if they want to do some science, but Google or some books from the library would be plenty.

MirandaWest · 27/05/2015 20:58

Is it a state school or a private school?

balletgirlmum · 27/05/2015 21:00

Maybe tillyboos child didn't do SATS. Or goes to a school that values a more rounded curriculum rather than focusing solely on the very narrow parameters of sats.

MrsKCastle · 27/05/2015 21:15

If the school values a more rounded curriculum, that's great. But a school that sends out a list of science topics to revise for an end of Year test doesn't inspire me with confidence. I would understand more in a private school that hadn't done SATs, which is why I asked if it was state or private.

The school (if state) has to report levels for science so it could be they are using old science papers for this.

ngkids.co.uk/ National geographic website for children - facts & games.

topicbox.net/science/

BertrandRussell · 28/05/2015 11:19

Didn't they send links to resources as well? That's a bit odd...........

Tillyboo · 28/05/2015 17:24

Thanks all, and yes it is a state school so children have not done SATS !

I don't know if those topics are on there but timestutorials.co.uk is brilliant (its a home school site but I use it its great). Good for all ages too. :-)

TinkerBellThree · 29/05/2015 11:02

Not sure it will help - but I have a DS in Y6 in private school as well and we are revising science too (chemistry today) and have been advised to use BBC Bitezise -- but KS3(not KS2).
