When do schools get KS2 SATS results?

I've been told we (parents) won't get them till the last day or two of term, but I am appealing the contents of DS's statement of SENs this summer in preparation for secondary school and it would be useful to have them earlier. Just wondered when the schools actually have them and hence whether it's worth me asking for them.

Round about 8 July / they take a while to mark

Thanks, wasn't expecting such a quick response at this time of night. My tribunal hearing is the week after so that might just work out as late evidence one way or the other.

As pops says, usually from around the first week of JUly. In our school, they are then checked for errors in addition/award of marks in case anyone has lost out on a level. Results are then given to parents with end of year reports, which usually go out at end of second week of July. There was one memorable year when our results were lost by the courier and we had to wait for copies to arrive, which they did at 1pm on the final day of term! That was a fun afternoon!

We finish on the 21st July this year, we normally get reports a couple of days before the end of term, so will probably be July 17th, which is after the hearing. I will have a word with the SENCO anyway, thanks.

1pm on the last day of term, yikes!
