Should I have heard from the school yet, re DS reception place?

Found out on the admissions day that DS has got his first place school, sent off the acceptance slip the same day.

I haven't heard a thing since from anyone, is that normal? Should I be chasing up?

All of my friends who have children starting school (different schools) in September have been contacted and some have even been to a meeting already.

It varys last year we heard around the half term so a couple of weeks yet

I don't think most schools would even be thinking about it right now as this week/next week is year 2 & 6 Sats. I would maybe start chasing in the middle of June if you still haven't heard anything x

We had a letter this morning about a meeting at the beginning of June.
I thought this was a bit early TBH.
I expected them to be sent around half term.

Can you give your school a ring and ask about when will you hear about parents' meeting etc? It varies between schools. Mine already had our first meeting and dated for trial sessions etc.

I'm a bit excited .

I think the acceptance deadline is tomorrow, or was perhaps last week. Until then it would seem a bit hasty for schools to send anything out - surely it would be more efficient to wait until they had a confirmed class list.

I'm excited too and my school starter isn't even my pfb.

We've not received the final list from the LEA yet so can't send letters out.
