AGGS pass mark?

I know it changes slightly every year but does anyone know roughly the percentage my daughter would need to achieve to pass the Altrincham girls grammer entrance exam?

It's a standardised score, depending partly on the girl's age (ie birth month), but a score of about 85-90% consistently should see you through.
They've changed the exam slightly from last year's. There's now a section analysing a text, which they haven't had in previous years.
Have you looked on the 11+ forums?

Aah ok that makes sense now. Dd did a mock on Sunday and we received her score this morning with standardised score to follow. She achieved 82% which we were reasonably happy with at this stage however we know maths is her weak point so need to try and raise her maths mark a bit.

This is the Trafford section of the elevenplusexams forum, it has a few threads about AGGS/SGS exams.
My DD sat for both last year,and got wildly different scores even though the exams were two days apart. The standardised pass mark is 334, but a lot more children sit the exam than get into the school. I think well over 1000 girls say last year's AGGS exam, for 174? places.
Exam day is crowded and full of sharp-elbowed parents. Be prepared for a bit of a scrum.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm not even sure it's the school for her I've heard so many conflicting reports it's all very confusing. She's at a feeder school for loreto and their exam is much more suited to her stronger areas. I think I need to go and get a feel for them.

There have been few threads on AGGS. I'd go and looker the school. I personally wouldn't opt for it but I buck the trend!
