I've just had an email offering Ds2 a place in year 5 at our 2nd choice primary.
Its a bit late now as he's in year 6 (not 5!) and he's only got a few weeks left of primary school.
I'd have loved to have had this offer a couple of years ago though but obviously, the administrator had DS2 down for the wrong year, so an offer he could actually accept was never going to come.
If you are on a waiting list somewhere, it might be worth checking that they actually have your child's details right when you next call up to make sure that you haven't been cleared off the list in an annual purge! I wish I had done this, although in the end, its worked out well enough at the current school.
