Where can we buy long grey school shorts?

Hello. We looked at cargo shorts at M&S but they are too short for my DS. He wants them to be (well) below the knees. He likes the feeling of being cosy in his shorts.

Get trousers and take them up?

Just wear trousers? Aren't below-the-knee shorts going to look a bit odd??

Thak you. Long shorts are fine. We have shorts from Tesco and there is nothing wrong with them. Many men wear long shorts too.
I have been thinking of cutting his trousers shorter but would it not be too obvious? We might try though.

Londonmum, thank you. Perhaps too shorts for him and he is 9 but may be I should bring him to the shops and try. Wanted to ask parents beforehand.
He could wear trousers but then he gets hot and irritable.

Slightly depends how skinny your boy is I bought these In a generous size for my fairly well built 12 year old and they were almost comedically long

If you read my posts again please write the name of the shorts but I will go to Next website and check their school wear. My DS is slim. No extra fat. He is 9 but 7-8 is still his size for trousers.

The boy in the picture could look like my DS. That is what my DS does not want to look like when the shorts are wide and the legs are thin. Will go to shopping centre at weekend and try some. I already bought M&S online and they are wide and short.

Thank you Sirzy and AmateurSeamstress. Do not know about Matalan but the BHS do look long indeed. And they all seem to be made of viscose and polyester everywhere.
