DS has come home on a new level and I'm not sure what some of his new targets mean - can anyone explain them to me please? I'm finding maths a bit of a struggle with him as I phrase things completely differently to how he is being taught them, and we both end up confused...

  • I can recall division facts for the 10 times table up to 120
  • I can recall division facts for the 2 times table up to 24
  • I can recall division facts for the 5 times table up to 60

I would say it's knowing division facts up to 12. Ie 120 divided by 10 is 12.
60 divided by 5 is 12
24 divided by 2 is 12.

I hope thus helps

Yep it wants him to know division facts for those tables so
120/10=12, 110/10=11 etc.
The up to ... bit just means learning the division facts that correlate to the times tables up to x 12.
