Disaster for Y2

DD2 is in a Y2/3 mixed class with quite a few troublemakers from Y3. I wasn't concerned as the amazing deputy head was the teacher.

However Dep H has been off sick for most of the year, to give an example in the first 10 days of school she had 5 different teachers.

It has been a wasted year in my view, however my main concern is who is going to do the end of KS1 assessments? The main Y2 teacher? The various supply teachers?

My DD's textbooks are still at ill teachers house, we couldn't see them at parents evening 2.5 months ago, they still aren't back.

To complicate matters further I'm a dinner lady at the school. I realise my post will probably out me so will NC for replies. But I didn't want to post as a new user of MN. Help!? How the fuck do I handle this??

If your child's exercise books are at the ill teachers home and gave been for over two months where have the children recorded their work in that time?

It is the head teachers responsibility to ensure children are accurately assessed from work they have done over the year supported by test data.

Thanks for the reply. I have no idea where the work is being recorded, I have asked DD who said "in my tray"

It just seems odd that the school aren't able to show parents any work. It would suggest they've done nothing for months Hmm
