Langley Vale, Ashtead- advice please!

Hello!

We are looking into moving to Ashtead from South West London, and have found a perfect house...which is in Langley Vale, Ashtead. We know NOTHING about the area, other than a few reports from friends and a day there looking at houses to rent - and we're not sure whether to take a gamble and just go for it or to hold on and see what else turns up...

Does anyone know what the community is like in Langley Vale? And also, what is The Vale School like? The ofsted report says it is now 'good' but was previously 'needs improvement'...but really I would like to hear personal reports of what it's like - any inside info would be gratefully received!

Also, My older daughter is not 4 until October so would need to start in a nursery in September, but it looks like the Vale starts from Reception - can anyone recommend a good nursery round there?

Bright stars nursery in leatherhead is fantastic, we have moved now but my daughter loved her time there. I showed my current nursery her folder from there and they are using it as a model and copying the activities because they thought they looked so good.

Most of Langley Vale used to be in the borough of Epsom and Ewell. Ashtead is in Mole Valley so you may want to check for things like Council tax etc.
