Advice for best primary schools in New Forest

Could anyone advise on which primary schools generally have the best reputation in the New Forest area? We're planning on moving there for a more wholesome life. My husband will have to commute into London 3 days a wk so we will need good train links. My thoughts are we need to pin down the school first so we can search for a house in its catchment area. Any insider tips/advice much appreciated....!

Just to add, I notice many of the schools in the New forest are Church of England schools. Are they very difficult to get into if you are not a regular church attender?

They are CofE in name only.
I was the atheist governor of one of them

HCC school allocations are pretty low pressure : tbh you need to think in terms of secondary and then take your pick of the primaries
none of them are too bad
