Catholic Primary Schools Merton
Hi everyone.

I really would love some advice.
My son has been accepted into both Sacred Heart primary and St John Fisher. I was wondering what people thought about both these schools.

I can't make my mind up and would appreciate some honest views.

Thanks so much.

Have you actually been offered 2 schools? My understanding is that firstly you will only be offered one school - even if you qualify for both on faith grounds, you will be offered your higher preference. Also, primary school offers aren't out for another fortnight so I don't see how you actually know.
Can you clarify? I think you won't have a choice when it actually comes to primary offers day.

I'm so sorry Maisyplate. This is for nursery. I can't believe I didn't write that and now I don't know how to edit.

Anyway although it's only nursery, I really want to make the right decision now.

Has anyone got any info, opinions, views. Thanks so much and I apologise again for the misunderstanding.

I don't know these schools but looking at the DoE stats, both have very low FSM cohorts (Free school meals) Sacred heart 8.1% to St Johns 3.4%. Both have very very similar SAT results, Sacred Hearts 100.8 to St Johns 100.7 which is negligible. You may have to go by your gut, what feels right, where you think you will all fit in and distance
I was a FSM cohort so I do not mean it disrespectfully

Choose the one you are most likely to get in at reception stage.
