Girls school politics, what is normal?

DD is in y5 in a girls school and I am gobsmacked by how mean the girls seem to be to each other. Yesterday I was thinking of miving her to a co ed school for secondary. But she usually gets dramatic when she is tired at the end of term. I went to a co ed school, I have no idea what is normal.

Same in my Y5 daughter's school unfortunately and that is a mixed school. Fortunately, she has two lovely friends. Like you, I am veering towards co ed for secondary.

My daughter is at a co-ed school in France and there are plenty of mean girls. I think that girl-meanness is widespread and that the cultural context makes little difference.
