ACS International School Cobham, looking for advice

Currently have a child in a small public school, Grade 1. We recently relocated from 2 years in the States and while she has adjusted very well to the fast pace, the new language (French) and differences in teaching (subjects, different sports and joined up writing). However she is struggling with the strict uniform rules (she had to dance barefoot in ballet because her shoes were not the right color, the teachers made her go without any snack because she could not find her snack box which was at the bottom of her bag but no assistance offered, etc)

We are now wondering if she is in the right school or if she would benefit more from going back to the US system.

Have any of you ladies got any experience? I have recently toured the ACS campus and liked what I saw. However we do like her lovely pronunciation and classical education she receives at her current school. Academically she is being stretched and coping happily.

Would you move her?

That does not sound like a normal way to treat a yr1 (age 5-6?) child. They sound mean. Is it in France? Am confused...
