Moving to South Woodford - school advice please?

Hi there!

All being well, I will be moving to South Woodford with my two children (age 4 & 7) this summer. My youngest will be going into reception and my oldest into year three.

The two nearest schools to us will be Snaresbrook and Nightingale - both ofsteds look fine but as we all know that's only one part of the picture.

I'd really love to hear from parents with children at those schools. The next furthest are the Oakdale Junior & Infants school - though I would hope my boys would get into one of the others, being so close... though perhaps not?

We are coming all the way from Devon so excuse my naivety! Any advice would be welcome! (and also if anyone wants to do coffee once we're there, hit me up! :) I'm a single parent so I'll be really keen to find some local mummy friends) x

I have just moved into the area- from Nottingham. I've had to submit a late application for primary school and I'm very nervous about it. My Daughter is 4 in Summer so will be starting reception in September. Oakdale is our closest school which seems perfect but as the application is going to be considered as late there is obviously no guarantee. Any advice would also be welcome this way xx

Ah good luck! Yes im nervous too, I won't be able to apply until we actually move in obviously and that isn't happening until the end of July :/ schools are easy to get into here, not so much in london though! Congrats on your move and best of luck with the school outcome.
