Which scheme does your school use?
DS year 3 is using Target maths 90% book 5 and occasionally book 6 and teacher advised using book 6 to practice from over the summer holidays in preparation for year 4. This was not just for my Ds but for about a third of the class so not a stealth boast btw.
We were initially impressed that the school was achieving such good levels in maths .So we got the books 5 and 6 and had a look through . I was very surprised that the year5 book seemed very simplistic compared to the year4 11+ books you can get in Smiths.
I wondered whether this scheme is known to be quite simplistic - is this scheme widely used does anyone know?
