Babbington House School

I went to look around Babbington House School today and was really impressed.
But I was really disappointed to discover the school had become selective. Despite excellent results when they weren't being selective. What is the theory behind this? Why become yet another selective paying grammar school?
I just couldn't understand why the new head had taken this new direction.

I'd talk to Farringtons again - they may be selective but from what I've heard it's not as selective as, say, JACS/Bromley High etc.

Both from experience RR and Challoner do not get the best results for secondary they do both let the children coast along and sometime a small nudge in a gentle direction i believe is worth it. You have Bromley High, Sydenham High and Croydon High but all selective. Apply for all including babingtons explain the dyslexia and they will also have an assesment with the SENCO you may still get offered a place. Book an appointment with the HM and expalin your thoughts and gauge his reaction.

OnwwIt, I had been under the impression that Farringtons could deal with dyslexia. I'd give them another call to double check.
