Ds (8) is unhappy 4/5 days at school (his words) doing fine academically and school know he finds friendships hard and seem to be supporting him well but I've got a gut feeling he's not as happy as he could be - square pegs and round holes
Anyone moved their child school because the child was unhappy?
How did it work out?
I can only equate it to if I was unhappy at work I'd look for an alternative, I know school cultures can be different and peer group would change.

Yes -twice. Once at primary and then again when I picked a secondary school on the basis of ofsted results rather than what was right for my Dc's. Both times best decision ever.
