Book character out of a potato!!! How do I make a Wookiee?

DS wants to make a Wookiee from Star Wars for his potato head - has to e a book character.

How on earth do I do this!!!

How about this? They have a stencil/template for carving a Wookie onto a pumpkin - could you resize it to potato size?
