State primaries in Victoria, Westminster, Pimlico

I have a few years before I really need to worry about this but just doing some casual research on schools in our area for DS.

I've had a look at the Westminster website and SO many of the schools locally are Catholic or CoE which we don't want. Plus Westminster covers a huge area so lots of schools not actually close to us.

Anyone got experience of primaries in the area that you'd like to share?

Only geographic, as my husband lived in Dolphin Sq for a couple of years and we stayed back home except for the school holidays.

Pimlico Junior School moved to a new building within the Pimlico Academy site about 18 months ago (it's 5 minutes walk from the underground and there are good bus routes either by the school or on Vauxhall Bridge Road).

There is a bit of a fuss (think it even made national papers), when they hired a non-teacher as a head (she moved on), but I certainly got the feeling that it was (to be) overseen by Pimlico Academy. Secondary teachers come in to teach some subjects.

I've heard of Pimlico Academy for all the wrong reasons alright - although I did my NCT classes there! Will look into it and Pimlico Junior School a bit more.
