Colet Court 8+ Reserve List 2015

I have been reading 7+ reserve list posts sadly and wondering whether my little man will get a chance this time. It was great to hear the stories of Westside dad who got thru the reserve list. Now I wonder whether this is prolonged good news or bad. I don't know anyone who has done the exam and no one in my sons school has. I am solely depend on anyone who is kind to let know whether declined places or whether you are in the same place I am. Please join me in sharing your experiences in this journey to... unknow. Will there be a light at the end of the tunnel........?

We got our letter today declining the offer and I feel for you. I am not sure whether to say congratulations or not. I am sure you are proud of where your have son got to but I do understand its not what you want if it is not going to get any further. I do wish and hope that there will be light at the end of the tunnel for you and lots of people contribute to this thread to help you through another waiting game.

I received our letter today putting confirming that my DS is on the reserve list. I don't have the heart to tell him. I just hope people make their choices quickly so there isn't too long wait for the rest on the list. Having to wait until 31st and now another week...

My son is not bothered by it. That's why where we are at in the 1st place. Take it easy although........ Ohh never mind he is who he is just worried that he has to be bored in class fitting in to others levels.

It is good your son is not bothered. My son didn't seem to care until after the interview at Colet and then that is all he talked about!! He did very well in the maths and I was told he was near to a perfect score. So just need to wait and see....

It must be disheartening to hear even after he has done near to a perfect score that still he is at reserve list. It is very difficult to know whats the criteria sometime isn't it. You are lucky that they said it but they didn't give much away to us. I wonder howmany they put in the reserve list.5-10 ?

Normally there are lots of people who have join in threads who are in waiting list; and have you read the following? I hope yours and my DS will be the same. I don't know what to do than wishing for best. I am scared for the 6th as well as I only want the good news.( call me childish)

Yes thanks i have read the link and it was that which gave me hope. However no one seems to be joining this list. ..not sure if that is good or bad??? Yes wish you lots of luck...I too am not sure what we will do if he doesn't get in....

May be the ones who are on the reserve list are not "mumsnetters". They may not have seen the thread or want to contribute to thread what else can we think. ...... Unless there is the best one of course we would like to think./emo/te/2.gif/emo/te/1.gif

I have informed by CC that everyone who was interviewed was placed on the reserve list. So there are 42 people on the list. ...

thats crazy...will they tell us where we are on the list. We are on the cc 8+ reserve list too

OMG I want to believe you but I cant believe they did that. So is there a possibility that 42 pull off....So why give people heart attacks. Even if someone was told no and they call them and ask would you be interested. Would they decline. It is crazy you are right.

Agreed. I feel crushed. I felt hopeful but there is no way that my DS will get in. Not sure why they did that. It would have made more sense to select a few. St least we would know where we stand.....Yes they tell you where you are on the list....so I know we won't get in.

I am so scared to call now and I cannot believe they do that what chance someone has even if they are at 15. Oh gosh... am I deluded or perhaps be that many places are rejected which I did not believe for a moment. Thanks for sharing your experience though. I don't know what else to say to you.

Sorry for you....I havent been able to get hold of them this morning but I guess if you are not in the first 5-10 on the reserve list, theres not much of a chance given they over offer. How depressing. Also did they give you feedback on how your DS did on the different papers?

Just wondering whether any of you are aware of the deadline to Kings and Westminister. As it has an effect on our waiting List. Inaya how are you?

All three deadlines are tomorrow but I don't know if WUS or KCJS have a time deadline like CC does.

I presume they wait list so many as there isn't another entry point until 11, so they are keeping a bank of boys ready in case in year places come up?

as far as i know KCJS expects to receive acceptances by the end of the day on Thursday - so say 5 pm - then the office closes.

Perhaps i am being dim but weren't KC and CC exams on the same day so there cant be cross applicants?
