do primary schools teach sex education in year 2? and what do they teach?

It's more about relationships, friends, good and bad touches, things growing (baby to child to adult), planting beans and watching them grow. Not actual intercourse. Why don't you ask school though, exactly what and when will depend on the school concerned.

They start with relationships etc. Our primary cover intercourse etc in the last term of Year 6.

I'm surprised your school don't provide info on this tp patents. Put school has and information session at the start of every school year so that parents can be advised of what they will be taught, see the learning materials, DVDs etc and ask any questions of the staff.

It depends entirely on the school. primary Schools in England can choose not to do it at all. Maintained primary schools have to teach natural curriculum science though - life cycle, growth etc.
