DS1's friend who went to a very pushy school for very bright children got "onomatopoeia" in Year 1.

And please don't trouble to tell me I've misspelt it....

OK wakeupandsmallthecoffee - a challenge!
"Dehydration is part of the mummification process which was used to preserve the bodies of Ancient Egytptians and prepare them for the afterlife in the underworld."

rustycreakingdoorbear · 17/10/2006 19:14

Mind you, I can't spell Egyptians, or your name properly - sorry!

Kittypickle · 17/10/2006 19:15

OMG, last weeks for DD (also Year 3) were something along the line of look, book, send, mend, morning, what . Please tell me your list won't be coming my way anytime soon

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 17/10/2006 19:37

That's brilliant! My dd's school has decided that they won't have spelling homework any more, it really pees me off. Apparently they now do it in the context of the class (wtf?). I know she'll end up writing potato's!

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 17/10/2006 20:07

could be worse she could write spuds LOL

The Egyptians, ha! When dd2 learnt about them she spent at least six months carrying a straw around the place, in case an opportunity arose to suck out her big sis's brains through her nose, in order to mummify her! She was obsessed by Egyptians.

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 17/10/2006 23:20

bless LOL
