My 2.7 year old is having her 3+ test for the Abbey in Reading soon. Not sure what to expect. What do 3+ selection processes usually involve?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bump. I'd like to know too.

It depends on a school and can range from observation of social interactions, to tests of early "academic" skills - counting, writing, reading.
At this point in the process - given that you can't "prep" your child any longer - I'd just relax and made sure s/he is well rested and happy on the day of assessment.

With my DDs I used to tell them that we are going on a playdate to a "big kid school" and after the "playdate" are going to do "XYZ exiting activity". Both really liked going to those "playdates" as there was something to look for afterwards.
