Can anybody recommend an English dictionary for an 8 year old please?

There are so many online it's a bit overwhelming and can't face going into town to look

The usborne illustrated dictionary is a very good one. They also do a thesaurus too. You can take a look online.

I should think Oxford or Collins are the most likely candidates.

Try their websites, and you can probably refine a search on there.

The Oxford Primary dictionary was recommended by school for my 9 year old. It is reduced to £4.99 on The Book People website
