Our primary school became a CfBT academy in the summer. Since then the governing body has been ditched, replaced with one that consists of two members of the SLT (the same SLT that got us a Grade 4 Ofsted) and 2 members of CfBT, who remain a faceless presence behind the scenes. Lots of parents were hoping that CfBT would make necessary changes to the SLT and improve the running of the school, but it seems they are simply sitting tight and locking everyone out. Does anyone out there have experience - good or bad - of CfBT? I know several parents who have made preparations to move to other schools and I'm starting to panic that I should be doing the same.
