PTA and Charity status

Our PTA will shortly be registering as a charity. I have been informed that a committee member has a CCJ. Is he still eligible to become a trustee?

I think it depends more on your constitution than your charity status.

Not an expert though. I just remember when I was looking into our trustees they were supposed to be not baddies but a financial thing wouldn't be an issue unless that person was the treasurer or other bank signatory.
