Schools in Isle of Wight

We are moving to IoW for my partner's job - we have 3 little ones: 9, 7 & 4 - any thoughts on schools? Will be based in Binstead near Ryde.

To add to previous message, we had been vaguely thinking of Ryde School but have heard mixed things about it - what are the local schools like to Binstead/ Ryde?

Hmm. We are in the West Wight so there will probably be someone closer to you coming on to reply sooner. By Ryde School, do you mean this?

There seems to be a bit of a problem with schools in the IoW but Binstead Primary is rated as "good" by Ofsted.

Have you tried the IoW local talk page?

Also (sorry) - if you are interested in private schools, there is also the Priory School which is a bit further away.
