Educational apps for 6yo

Hi, I originally posted this in chat but didn't get a response so thought I'd try here.

What educational style apps do your children enjoy playing with? I've heard of some numeracy based ones but don't know what level/age they're aimed at? Also any suggestions for phonics type ones?

Pocket phonics is great for reception

We've found some called Baby Bus that my 6 year old and 3 year old like. They are free and a bit basic but cover numbers, letters, telling the time, etc.

Those two sound perfect, thank you.

DS (judt 7) likes Squeebles. They have maths and spelling apps.

The best we have is Dragonbox. It comes in two versions, +5 and +12 y old. It teaches algebra. You can see a couple of videos here DragonBox.

Squeebles apps are worth every penny! We have used them to learn spellings, fractions, and times tables, all with great success. For phonics
Mr Thorne apps are great - you can look at some of his videos on You Tube.

Another vote for the Squeebles apps, they do all sorts of maths ones and a spelling one - all fantastic.

Another one for squeebles. My DD (6) loves it Smile

We have the maths bingo one & the times tables one.

BBC bitesize is quite good.

Squeebles and dragonbox. For phonics ds2 did reading eggs on the computer. Starfall is also good for early phonics
