St Saviour's in Maida Vale

Hi, DD goes to Hampden Gurney primary school, where the kids do great academically but we've been gradually finding out that it comes at a cost. My daughter's just not happy there, the main reason being that the teachers are very shouty (including the headmistress) and it's stressing her out. As an example, the headmistress repeatedly punishes and humiliates the children who don't close their eyes while praying in front of the whole school at assembly. There's also a lot of collective punishment and DD feels anxious about going to school. I've talked to other parents and many are unhappy about this aspect of the school.

So anyway, I've been looking into other alternatives, the main one being St Saviour's in Maida Vale. I know it's hard to get into and there's no space available in DD's year (yet) but all I can do is get on the waiting list I suppose. If you have your child there, please could you tell me about your experiences of the school? What are the teachers like? Would you say there's a nurturing element in the school ethos or is it all about achieving top results? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
